Configure Terminal Settings

    After attaching a console to the switch, start a terminal-emulation program such as HyperTerminal or ZTerm.

    Follow the steps below to configure the Terminal program:

    Choose the appropriate COM port (e.g. COM1, COM2).
    Set the data rate to 9600 Baud.
    Set data format to 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity.
    Set Flow Control to None.
    Under Properties, select VT100 for Emulation mode.
    When terminal setup is complete, power on the FSM726S Managed Stackable Switch. Boot sequence will display in the terminal.

    Important to know! Select Terminal keys for Function, Arrow and Control keys. Make sure the setting is for Terminal Keys, not Windows keys.
