    System is the front page of the FSM726S Web-Based Management System. It includes configuration information about the system.

    Below find an overview of the features of the front page:

    Navigation options to the 6 main functions of switch administration appear in the small window on the left.

    SYSTEM: Displays system information. Information on this page is not editable.

    STATUS: Contains information about the following:

    Switch Statistics: Allows you to compare one type of statistics across all ports
    Port Statistics: Shows all the statistic types for one port over time
    Port Settings: Displays the port settings.
    MAC Address Table: A dynamic lookup table that allows you to view dynamic MAC addresses in the database
    Error Statistics: Allows you to chart one type of statistic for any combination of ports

    SET-IP:

    System Configuration: Allows access to system information parameters
    IP Configuration: Allows you to manage the switch over the network using its IP address
    Port Configuration: Allows you to configure the status per port
    GBIC: Allows you to choose the port type of the gigabit ports (default is RJ-45)

    TOOLS: Contains functions to maintain your switch

    Software Upgrade: Configure the system to download and boot from a new image from the network.
    Save Configuration: Save changed settings to NVRAM
    Device Reset: Reset (power cycle) the switch. Use to upgrade firmware or restore defaults

    SECURITY:
    Password: Change password

    ADVANCED: Allows for operations of the device including VLAN, Spanning Tree, Port Trunking, Multimedia support, traffic prioritization, SNMP and port mirroring

    Detailed information regarding the selected option on the left appears in the larger window.

    The Help menu in is the upper right. Click Add'l Info below to view a summary of its contents.

    Within the various browser interface pages, there are several buttons that appear:

    Reload: Pulls that screen's data from current values on the system
    Apply: Submits change requests to system and refreshes screen data
    Add: Adds new entries to table information and refreshes screen data
    Remove: Removes selected entries from table and refreshes screen data
    Reset: Resets system. This action is equivalent to power OFF/ON
    Restore: Restores the system factory default values except password and IP
    Query: System retrieves useful information in database
